I focus on healing the wounds that have created internal negative "stories" about ourselves and the world to help people reconnect with their original creative, powerful, loving selves.
My approach
My approach involves helping clients learn stress reduction and self-nurturing techniques to support themselves on the journey through processing trauma and throughout their lives. As clients heal from the past, they then learn new ways to communicate and interact effectively with others and to create the lives they wish to live.
My focus
I work with individuals, including minors aged 13-17. My specialties include anger management, anxiety, bipolar disorder, codependency, coping skills, depression, divorce, domestic violence, emotional disturbance, family conflict, grief, infidelity, job stress, life transitions, mood disorders, OCD, parenting, relapse prevention, relationship issues, self-esteem, self-harming, sexual abuse, spirituality, stress, suicidal ideation, thought disorders, trauma and PTSD, women's issues, child abuse or neglect, and marital/pre-marital issues.
My communication style
I communicate with compassion and directness, creating a safe space for clients to process their experiences. Through active listening and supportive dialogue, we work together to understand the roots of challenges and develop strategies for healing and growth.
My journey to mental healthcare
I earned my Master's degree in Counseling (MC) from National University in Redding, CA between January 2001 and September 2002.
