I am a clinician with 14 years of experience in a variety of mental health settings. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I have worked with a wide array of clientele, providing psychotherapy and consultation services for adults, the elderly, and parents of young children who are seeking change, growth, support, relief of distress, and holistic improvement of well-being. I am bilingual in English and Farsi.

My approaches are usually psychodynamic, existential, and CBT as needed.
My focus
My expertise includes working with young adults, adults, families, and older adults with adjustment difficulties due to significant life changes and stressors such as changes in health status, disabilities, immigration, marriage, divorce, becoming a new parent, and occupational and educational related issues. I provide loss and grief counseling to individuals who have experienced loss of loved ones and require support. I provide developmental screening for young children to assist families seek proper services as necessary. In addition, I have experience working with youth and adults with ADD and ADHD and supporting families who care for the elderly with dementia and Alzheimer's disease. I strive to help individuals with severe stress, anxiety, and depression create fulfilling changes by promoting a trusting therapeutic relationship to foster authenticity, empowerment, and personal growth

My journey to mental healthcare
My passion to help others is what attracted me to be a psychotherapist, creating a positive change, even as small as it could be for another person drives me to do this work and provides a personal meaning to life for me.

I assist clients to identify their desired goals from therapy and assist by setting some measurable goals and checking in frequently and adjusting the goals per the client's needs.
My first session with you
The first session is assessment and exploring the presenting problems.
