Hi there, I'm Grace!

With 30 years of clinical experience across diverse settings and populations, I bring a wealth of expertise to help individuals navigate their unique challenges and achieve their mental health goals. Through a compassionate and collaborative approach, I strive to create a safe and supportive environment for growth and healing.

My approach

My therapeutic approach is grounded in unconditional positive regard, recognizing the inherent worth and potential of each individual. I draw from a range of evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), EMDR, and Family Systems, tailoring my approach to best suit your specific needs and preferences. Together, we will work to develop insight, build coping skills, and foster meaningful change.

My focus

I work with individuals across the lifespan, from adolescents to older adults, addressing a wide spectrum of mental health concerns. These include depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, PTSD, substance use, grief, relational issues, and trauma. In the past decade, I have developed a specialization in supporting active duty service members and their families, helping them navigate the unique stressors and challenges they face.

My communication style

Open, honest, and collaborative communication is the cornerstone of our therapeutic relationship. I believe in creating a non-judgmental space where you feel heard, validated, and empowered. We will work together to set goals, monitor progress, and make adjustments as needed, ensuring that our work aligns with your evolving needs and priorities.

My journey to mental healthcare

My journey in mental healthcare began with a deep desire to make a positive difference in people's lives. I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Behavioral Sciences before pursuing a Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology at National University in San Diego, CA. Over the past 30 years, I have had the privilege of working with diverse populations in various settings, continually expanding my knowledge and honing my skills to provide the highest quality of care.

My goals for you

My ultimate goal is to empower you with the tools, insights, and resilience needed to navigate life's challenges and thrive. Whether you are seeking to manage symptoms, heal from past wounds, improve relationships, or achieve personal growth, I am committed to supporting you every step of the way. Together, we will work to enhance your self-awareness, develop healthy coping strategies, and build a life that aligns with your values and aspirations.

My first session with you

During our first session, we will focus on building a foundation of trust and understanding. I will listen attentively to your story, concerns, and goals, asking questions to gain a comprehensive picture of your unique situation. We will discuss your expectations for therapy and collaboratively develop a personalized treatment plan that addresses your specific needs. This initial session is an opportunity for you to ask questions, clarify any concerns, and determine if we are a good fit to work together on your journey toward improved mental health and well-being.
