Hi there, I'm Sonya!

Whether you are struggling to navigate everyday stressors, looking for guidance to change unhelpful patterns or behaviors, or seeking relief from the impact trauma, depression, anxiety, or addiction have on your life, I am here to help. Your first session will be spent exploring your therapeutic needs and receiving answers to any questions you may have. Many people are hesitant to begin therapy, and we will work together so that you feel as comfortable as possible. Together we will work to prioritize your concerns and devise a strategy to tackle them. We will work at your pace while also challenging you to step outside of your routine at times. By working with a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 13 years of experience in the mental health field, you can feel confident that you are in good hands. My background includes working with Families, Adults, teens, and children in individual, family, couple, and group settings. I have extensive experience and training in the areas of Anxiety, Depression, Substance Use, post-traumatic stress, Family conflict, and Codependency. As a Therapist, one of the most important lessons I have learned is that we become stronger when we “learn to be comfortable in uncomfortable situations.” We all face roadblocks that impact our decisions, choices, and abilities to overcome difficult situations. By practicing new skills during good times, you will become better at activating those skills during stressful times. Thank you for your bravery and strength in taking this first step.
