Hi there, I'm Jacqueline!

I am a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner with dual certification as an adult/gerontology primary care NP and I also obtained my doctorate of nursing practice degree. I have over 14 years of nursing experience and my goal is to provide compassionate, holistic care to help clients achieve optimal wellness.

My approach

In addition to psychopharmacotherapy, I utilize the following theoretical approaches: Behaviorism, Cognitive, and Humanistic. Each client encounter is unique, requiring awareness, sensitivity, and unconditional acceptance of that person and their needs. The CARE Approach is a framework I have always practiced, which emphasizes empathy, is patient-centered, and encourages effective communication and self-reflection.

My focus

I am comfortable treating all conditions including depression, anxiety, insomnia, mood disorders, ADHD, PTSD, social phobia, obsessive-compulsive disorder, binge-eating disorder, and weight management.

My communication style

My objective is to create an environment where my clients feel safe and at ease sharing their personal concerns with me. It is important that my clients know that they have my undivided attention, know that I am genuinely concerned about their well-being and that I am invested in ensuring a positive outcome.

My first session with you

To ensure we have a productive first visit, please be sure to fill out your intake form in advance! During our first visit, we will complete a full mental health assessment and evaluation. There will be lots of questions during this visit, especially regarding your medical and mental health history. Working together to determine an accurate diagnosis and treatment plan is important for your mental health. This may require multiple appointments. Controlled medications may be available from my practice on a limited basis and rarely on the first session. All paperwork such as FMLA and related will only be considered after several sessions of treatment and as clinically indicated. Once we have completed your evaluation, we can then discuss a treatment plan specific to your needs that will get you on the road to feeling better as soon as possible!
