My name is Margarita (Rita) Lekhtsikava, and I'm a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor specializing in PTSD, Trauma, Depression, Anxiety, and Substance use.
My approach
My therapeutic approach is strength-based, client-centered, and trauma-informed. I value and integrate a variety of theories and interventions to fit each client's needs and goals, some of the modalities being Trauma-focused, CBT, EFT, Solution Focused, and Person-Centered. I am trained and experienced in providing EMDR.
My focus
I work with individuals struggling with Depression, Anxiety, PTSD, and Substance Use. I also provide support to individuals facing challenging circumstances, relationship issues, work stress, and difficult transitions in their lives.
My communication style
My goal is to empower and support my clients through the therapeutic process, to help them meet their needs and goals. I provide a safe, non-judgmental environment that allows space for self-expression and self-discovery. I believe in providing my clients with the opportunity to identify and challenge difficult thoughts and emotions while creating new ways to cope effectively with stressors.
