I'm Divina Gabuat, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I use evidence-based practice with a therapeutic and collaborative approach in therapy. I work together with my clients to help improve the person's well-being and health.
My approach
Together we will work as a team to process your troubles. Clients can expect to learn coping skills, learn evidence-based practice approaches to gain tools to overcome life's challenges.
My focus
I have experience working with clients seeking relief from Anxiety, Depression, workplace stress, relationship problems, divorce, and occupational and educational distress. I have experience working with teens through life's problems of school, friends, and family dynamics.

You will find a warm welcome in my communication style. I listen, provide support, and offer perspective in a safe and confidential space.
My journey to mental healthcare
I've worked in the Emergency Department in San Luis Obispo CA, for 8+ years and 10+ years at the CA State Hospital as a Clinical Social Worker. I have a Masters degree in Social Work, Licensed in the State of California. I retired from the US Army after 20 years of military service: two war tours and many deployments, I know how important Mental Health is in our society. I'm here to break down any stigma.

At the first session, expect a warm smile and a caring clinician, who wants to help you. I will meet you where you are in your life, lets work on your recovery and mental stress right away so that you come away from your first session with hope and healing.
