Thank you for this first step, my name is Anthony Cavuoti, my preferred name is Athena Theodora, take a journey with me to what I have to offer you starting from your first session, we will develop a solid rapport that metaphorically is the salad tree trunk made out of neutral respect and trust and the inborn flexible strengths needed to meet the challenges necessary to develop strategies, self-regulation tools, insight attitudes, motivation, curiosity and the staying power to connect with yourself and others more fully so as to live a more satisfying life. I use proven, grounded, and establish processes to assist you in this journey such as attachment theory, psychodynamic, emotional cognitive behavior therapy/dialectical therapy/ mindfulness.
My approach
I take your life, your inner world, and your suffering seriously, the answers to your own questions come by this connection by this listening by this experience of being seen, and such as dreams they have to be solidified, reflected upon, and shared before the power of their sublime wisdom can be fully understood and utilize most effectively. So we take our discoveries of you and we come up with a treatment plan together. My approach is eclectic, psychodynamic, attachment theory, cognitive behavioral, and dialectic behavioral therapy.
My focus
Clients, men, women, adults, teenagers, children, and couples that are motivated to share their inner world freely, clients willing to deal with the challenges and frustrations of living a more authentic life that often requires freeing oneself from relationships or once might have been primal but no longer serve clients best interest in.

My journey to mental healthcare
When I interned at Massachusetts State Hospital I quickly developed a deep appreciation for the complexity and richness of so-called normal minds. While working with staff and patients in the hospital it was pointed out to me by a senior psychiatrist who possessed a preternatural health severely mentally ill patient find renewed hope and meaning. I thought I was just having fun and being competent do interesting work.

I work with individuals struggling with anxiety & depression that are the result of unsatisfying exchanges with someone important in their life or from their past. As we proceed you will obtain a clearer understanding of yourself and of others in your life.
