My name is Star Soko. I am an LPC with over 10 years of experience in mental health counseling. I work with individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, family/relational conflict, and trauma. I utilized a Person-Centered approach that encompasses a holistic, team-oriented, and integrative modality of treatment that best fits the needs of my clients.

My focus
I work with teens and adults, male and female dealing with depression, anxiety, trauma, and couple relational issues.

My objective is to create a warm, inviting, and safe environment to build trust with respect to the therapeutic relationship.
My journey to mental healthcare
Therapy is an innate calling discovered through my experiences and interactions with individuals in various forms of employment. Talking and listening to individuals was a natural skill, which was cultivated later through education, training, and licensure requirements. I desire to see individuals operating in their full health in all capacities, understanding that everything they need is already within them. I am only here to facilitate this notion as well as their healing journey.

My approach to goal setting with clients is a collaboration in what the client desires and the identified needs of the clients.
My first session with you
The first session includes an introduction, data collection, identified problems, therapeutic goal setting, and expectations for treatment.
