My name is Jamey Lamb, LCSW. I use many different evidence-based therapy practices in creative, collaborative sessions with clients struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, and LGBTQIA+ issues.
My approach
I use evidence-based therapy methods (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Existential Therapy) with a creative twist. I strive to use empathy to let the client take the lead. It's the client who will do the hard work and I will be there to support and assist. I like to use experiences and creativity to explore thoughts and feelings.
My focus
I specialize in LGBTQIA+ issues, anxiety, depression, trauma, and grief.
My communication style
I strive to be open-minded, empathetic, and sometimes funny, using proven therapy methods to work on troubling thoughts, feelings, and situations together. If you are interested in video games, I even offer therapy services while playing Minecraft and other cozy games.
My journey to mental healthcare
I have over 7 years of experience in different settings, including school systems, behavioral health hospitals, hospice/end-of-life care, and more.
My first session with you
During our initial sessions, we will explore the issues at hand and collaborate to create a plan for addressing them in a way that helps you get back to the life you want. Most clients see a gradual lifting of symptoms within the first month and sustained improvement thereafter.
