My name is Cheryl Jones and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Alabama. I work with clients statewide via Telehealth. I am a graduate of Troy University for my undergraduate degree in social work and Florida State University for my master's degree in social work.
My approach
My therapy approach is client-centered and combines cognitive-behavioral, motivational interviewing, solution-focused, and strengths-based techniques tailored to meet a client's needs. Areas of concentration are depression, anxiety, substance use/addiction, stress management, relationship difficulties, life transitions, career issues, parenting, and spirituality.
My focus
I have over 15 years of experience working with individuals and families in community-based programs with 9 of those years being experience in mental health with a specific focus on mental illness, crisis intervention, and addictions. I have experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and the aging population.
My communication style
My counseling style is empathetic. I want my clients to feel comfortable talking with me about anything. I also pride myself on my ability to listen without judgment.

I am passionate about providing clients support to manage and overcome challenging life issues. I offer unique expertise and experience as I've worked in a variety of settings serving different populations.
My goals for you
My approach to goal setting with my clients is all about collaborating to define what you want to accomplish in our time together. This often starts by building trust between us, and getting comfortable with what your therapy journey looks like. During treatment, we’ll work together to set goals and track your progress providing accountability.
